SITE Santa Fe – Erica Lord in Artifact Piece, Revisited
June 6 @ 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm
Artist Erica Lord presents Artifact Piece, Revisited, an interpretation of James Luna’s influential performance Artifact Piece (1987). The work prompts critical reflection on the objectification and fetishization of Indigenous bodies and cultures in museums and the art world at large, while foregrounding contemporary and gendered perspectives.
